Where is leyawiin in oblivion
Trade and industry are strong in Leyawiin, thanks to the patronage of Zenithar , and notwithstanding, the bandits troubling caravans and travellers along the Green Road through the recently annexed Trans-Niben.
Not all of the Beastial peoples in Leyawiin are as presentable and industrious as the members of the new competitor with Fighters Guild , the Blackwood Company. Some Argonians and Khajiit are to be seen in the streets at all hours, lounging and gossiping. The town is mostly populated with Khajiit and Argonians as it is on the border between Elsweyr and Black Marsh. The town itself lies with tall curtain walls on the west bank of the Niben. To the east through two gates lies the inner keep and Castle Leyawiin , straddling the deep channels of the river.
The Chapel of Zenithar lies in the northwest, near the West Gate. All the shops, inns, and guilds lie south of the chapel, in the western half of the town, except for a fine bookstore and general trader north of the road traversing the town east-west from West Gate.
The residential part of town runs along a single wide north-south boulevard, backed on the east by deep ponds created by impounding one of the meandering channels of the Niben.
Leyawiin boasts the finest collection of shops and tradesmen in Cyrodiil outside of the Imperial City. Even the craftsman and trainers of the Fighters Guild and Mages Guild are of a certainly higher quality. Something worth mentioning is Southern Books , a bookstore owned by an Orc always stocking multiple copies of A Children's Anuad ; a religious book appropriate for those ignorant of the mysteries of the faith and adapted to the meanest understanding.
Leyawiin had been troubled for sometime by a criminal gang led by an Orc named Black Brugo. An Orcish former companion of Black Brugo, called Mazoga, with the help from a stranger in town managed to slay Black Brugo. Together both Mazoga and the stranger, were bestowed the title Knights of White Stallion by the Count. It is rumored that the stranger is the Champion of Cyrodiil. Lady Alessia Caro, despite of her high reputation, had a shameful accident recently.
She was caught organizing a party when all the guests were naked. This accident is quickly covered by the authority and forgotten. Furthermore, rumors of her ruthless and cunning ways when dealing with the Beastfolks are widely spread out and exaggerated. Garridan Tears are crystals found in the far north, near Bruma. They were believed to be the crystallized tears of the knight Garridan that was frozen and failed in his mission. Racial tension proved to be a problem between the Khajiit and the influx of Argonians and Dunmer , and Count Caro attempted to encourage Nibenean culture in the city in order to move towards mainstream Imperial society.
Leyawiin briefly became an independent city-state early in the Fourth Era. During this time, the county of Bravil , which had rebelled against the Empire, warred with County Leyawiin until the rise of the Mede Dynasty by 4E The southern coastline of Cyrodiil was then overwhelmed by the invasion forces, and Leyawiin was one of the first cities to fall to the Aldmeri Dominion's invasion in Cyrodiil.
Sahan survived day to day by killing commanders and guardsmen until the Reachmen abandoned the settlement. From this it can be inferred that Leyawiin was not affected by the Alliance War as it was able to trade with Black Marsh.
In the same year, Castle Leyawiin fell under siege as a result of Waking Flame cultists infiltrating the city under the guidance of the head of the city Councilor Vandacia. Sometime before the Oblivion Crisis , the governments of Elsweyr and Cyrodiil had talked over a border arrangement between the two provinces.
Elsweyr wanted to have western Blackwood to themselves as it had traditionally been theirs, but Cyrodiil managed to keep the region. This brought tension between the two provinces and a group known as the Renrijra Krin rose and performed terrorist attacks throughout County Leyawiin.
It is because of the Renrijra that the Khajiits have a hard time in Leyawiin. In 3E , Leyawiin prospered along with the other eight cities in Cyrodiil. They married to cement a political alliance between Leyawiin and Chorrol where Alessia's mother is the Countess of Chorrol.
Both have a mission to unite the people of Blackwood and encourage Imperialization as seen in Gideon and Rimmen. In the very late third era, Mehrunes Dagon launched the Oblivion Crisis.
